Jesus Wants You!

You are Precious!

Very much so! You have characteristics and abilities that come directly from God and reflect something of Him in this world.

He made you. (Although you directly descended from your ancestors, God set that whole process in motion. He has also designed your inner values.)

He knows and loves you more than anyone else ever could!

For every challenge you face, He has solutions that will ultimately bring about the best for everyone, and He is more than happy to share them with you! He also knows how and where your talents can be best developed and used. He has the perfect plan for your life and especially for the time thereafter!

Getting to know Him is the best thing that can happen to you, and He has made it easy for you: He has appointed an official representative who can connect you with Him and ensure His affection and undivided attention for you:

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

1. Tim 2:5

Simply talk to Him! Just be honest:

Jesus saith unto him, I amthe truth

Jh 14:6

Say e.g.;

„Jesus Christ, if you’re real then show up please! Give me signs, encounters and true faith! Let me know God and make the best out of my life! Welcome! Thank you! Amen.“

If in the following days you happen to be confronted with the topic, then write it down if you like. If such events occur unusually often, He may already be answering you. Pay attention to overlapping content. His words are also often accompanied by perceivable love, joy, peace, freedom, relief, well-being, strength, comfort, grace, hope, etc.

Just keep talking to Him! Ask Him whatever you want to know and ask Him for help when you encounter challenges. He loves you! He enjoys you giving Him your attention, and He will reward you for spending time with Him and getting to know and love Him!

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Jh 17:3

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

Mt 22:37f

Why should You believe This?

Not only have millions of people experienced God answering their prayers and changing situations for the better when they turn to Him. But we also receive answers and God’s perspective from a reliable source that is unique in this form:

Reliability of the Bible

While in the case of Aristotle, Plato and Caesar, one to ten copies are sufficient for us to regard the events described as certain, our source, with over 25,000 manuscripts, is better documented than any other historical document. Central events were recorded comparatively early after they happened, which makes them highly reliable. Statements by a wide variety of authors coincide in almost all details with each other and also with independent, external sources – even those following a much different objective.

At all times, oppressive governments have tried to either ban it or portray it as untrustworthy because it limits their claims to absoluteness and attempts of manipulation and it uniquely conveys freedom, dignity and the love of God to people. In the long term, however, it has remained the best-selling book of mankind despite all the challenges, and even today its popularity is growing most strongly precisely where its distribution is most fiercely opposed.

Countries, on the other hand, which were especially open for the God of the Bible (not a religious affiliation per se) are now consistently found in the top ranks of indices on happiness, freedom of press, stability, etc. It is not uncommon for them to deliberately display biblical symbols on their national flags. The Indian philosopher Vishal Mangalwadi attributes all the achievements of the West to its former dedication to the Bible, both in detailed treatises as well as brief summaries. Of the approximately 6000 prophecies, roughly half have already come true in detail. So there is a lot of reason for taking a closer look at this book. Here a brief overview.

Justice and Righteousness

Surely you have been wronged in your life and felt that even afterwards justice was not served and the damage caused was not remedied satisfactorily. Perhaps you also suffer with others who are even more severely affected. The good news is that everything is recorded, even if no one seems to have seen it! Anyone who has done something wrong to you or others will be held accountable, no matter how insignificant the matter may seem to them!

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Ecc 12:14

And I saw a great white throne, and … I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev 20:11ff

You will definitely see your recompense!

Same Rights for all

But are you ready for this moment? Or could it be that you too have wronged others … maybe without knowing so?

Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults .

Ps 19:12

For in many things we offend all …

Jam 3:2

And are we at peace with God? He loves us, but does that mean He can always be satisfied with our lives?

Excursus: How Everything Started

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Jh 1:1+3

God is one with His Word. And it has the mysterious power to bring everything to pass what He says.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Gen 1:3

In the same way, the heavens, the earth, plants, celestial bodies, and all animals came into existence.

… and God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:25

Why do Human Beings Exist?

While God governs almost the entire universe directly himself, he wanted to do this on earth in cooperation with beings created specifically for this purpose:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Gen 1:26ff

Mankind had thus internalized God’s nature and was to represent Him on earth, governing creation according to His interests and directions, shaping and preserving it—each within their respective areas of responsibility. He entrusted the planet to them.

… the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

Ps 115:16

Back then, there was neither shortage nor wickedness. All living beings had an unimaginably good life as long as humans fulfilled their duties the way God intended. Since they had His nature, this was not difficult for them. They enjoyed communicating with Him regularly about everything.

What Got in the Way?

As we have seen, God’s person and power are inseparably linked to His Word. What He says happens. Therefore, it was unthinkable for people to act contrary to the Word of God. Even though they had the freedom to do so, they constantly experienced how acting according to His instructions brought about the best and by far the most fascinating results. They did not want to miss out on that.

However, it may be that people became negligent at some point, causing discontent in the realm of animals. In any case, they allowed themselves to be persuaded by an animal – over which they were actually supposed to rule – to finally withdraw their trust from God and act contrary to His word!

As a result, the close relationship with Him was destroyed. Humans became mortal, susceptible to disease, lost their dignity, prosperity, and homeland, and from then on had to work hard for their food. They still ruled over the earth—each in their own sphere of influence—but without God, they were no longer able to bring about much good. The animals were no better off either. All the problems in the world ultimately stem from the mistrust and distance that humanity has built up toward God for no reason!

Nowadays, many people do not even know about God, and even those who do often fail to consequently live and act according to His will.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one… For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Rom 3:10-23

God had entrusted the earth to mankind. However, they largely deprived Him of access to it.

Like all representatives, they must one day give account for their actions, and at the moment, the balance sheet does not look so good. This also applies to you and me, by the way, because we have all—consciously or unconsciously—acted contrary to God’s will on many occasions!

What if we didn’t want this?

Would we have done better if we had been the first people? It’s hard to say. Nevertheless, God provided salvation His own way:

The solution …

First, He made a covenant with a small group of people. He entrusted them with His word again, and they decided to live their lives according to it. If anyone violated it, they could sacrifice an innocent animal to die in their place. Although this was a pity for the animal, what was much more important was that the innocent blood covered the person’s sin, and God forgave them. The relationship—and with it, their basis for life—was restored! People experienced how, through His closeness, favor, blessings, and supernatural intervention, they could have extraordinary success and an incomparable quality of life—as long as they remained with Him! And God also had a legal place to stay on earth again! His Word dwelt among His people, and He is inseparably connected to His Word.

That worked for His chosen ones. But what about all other people?…

… for the whole world!

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son …

Gal 4:4

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the [whole] world.

Jh 1:29

By the sacrifice that God Himself brought for us at His own expense, all mankind – everyone who wants – can now be reconciled with Him ! For you and me, that’s free!

One of his closest friends tells …

… how God [equipped] Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him…

… whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly…

… And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Acts 10:38ff

For if the blood of bulls and of goats… sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Heb 9:13

The supreme judge of the universe personally gave His life for you out of love, to save you from judgment and eternal damnation by means of His own blood, and to restore your righteousness, your life, and your eternal calling!

Would you like to accept this?

Say, for example: „Jesus! If that’s true then I thank you very much for giving your life to reconcile me with God for eternity! I have sinned—please forgive me everything, whether I am aware of it or not! Wash me clean with your blood! I want to belong to You and live for God and His kingdom from now on. Give me God’s Spirit so that I may learn to understand Him. Thank You! Amen!“

Congratulations!

If that’s what you said and meant, you’ve made the very best decision by far and now have a new life!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a fresh creature: old things are passed away; behold, a complete renewal has started!”

2.Kor5:17

You can start over and will be optimally guided by Him. Just stay in contact with Him!

And this is life eternal, that they might [ever more deeply] know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Joh17:3

Next Steps

Read the Bible

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2.Tim3:16f

Start e.g. with the report of His best friend John and the following books. Further details about Jesus‘ life and teachings you can e.g. find from Mt1:18 on.

Clicking on the arrow on the right (web) or swiping to the left (mobile) takes you to the next chapter or book.

Don’t worry if you don’t understand everything straight away. Ask God for understanding and pay attention to what then is revealed to you. Since God is constantly revealing himself, it is often not boring to read already known passages again.

The Bible helps you to get to know Him. It is a safe reference.

Now the purpose of the commandment is Love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

1Tim1:5

Find Likeminded People

Ask God to bring you together with the right fellowship. You can recognize them by their genuine love for one another, their sparkling enthusiasm for Jesus, and by the fact that you feel even more joyful, motivated and connected to God after a meeting.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Joh13:35

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul… And they continued stedfastly in the apostles‘ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers…, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Act4:32+2:42+46ff

A first step could be the foundational course of faith „Alpha“, which is offered for free from various organizations.

Be Baptized

Thereby your faith is practically documented and your transfer from this world to the eternal kingdom of God becomes legally effective!

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved …

Mk16:15f

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Rom6:4

Your Destiny

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Rev 21:1ff

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
