Jesus Wants You!

Welcome, dear Reader!

Thank you for coming in! May your visit be as rewarding as possible!

Do you actually know how valuable your life is? Parents, family, good friends and/or others have already invested huge amounts of love, time, attention and help into you, which at times also had cost them something.

Things are valued according to how much someone is willing to give for them and a lot has been given for you. There is however someone to whom you are even more important and who has invested and yet is investing still much more into you! And that’s the reason:

Why are You on This Earth?

The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Ps 24:1f

A source that has proven to be unexpectedly reliable time and again allows us to understand that the universe and all life comes from God, that it exists for His pleasure and that He by Himself keeps everything up and running. He wanted to share the responsibility of governing the earth with specially created beings who have something of Himself in them and can represent Him. He distributed small portions of His own qualities and abilities to the various humans – that is what the beings are called. When they all complement each other in love according to His will, they reflect God in the best possible way. Each person was and is given a sphere of influence, which they are to preserve and develop well. In order for this to succeed, regular fellowship with God, the original in whom people are modeled, is very important.

People enjoyed life intensely and also found plenty of fulfillment in the areas of activity that suited them best. By far the most beautiful thing, however, were the recurring times with their Creator, who was the fullness of life itself and who radiated love, light, strength, life, peace, wisdom, clarity and everything else that they could use both for themselves and for their daily activities. God loved the people in whom He found so much of Himself – just as parents love their children, in whom something unmistakable about them lives on. It could have gone on like this forever!

The Center of the Universe

An important detail:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Joh 1: 1ff

God’s Word is the universal origin! He spoke and visible things came into existence. Everything He says comes to pass. The Word is more than just information: it has the power within itself to bring everything into existence! It is one with God because He always speaks the truth. It is more reliable than anything else and always absolutely credible! „Word“ also stands for facts, context, reasoning, etc. – everything that God communicates to e.g. people to reveal His Grace and Truth! It can be transmitted through direct speech, in writing or in visions or dreams, but also very reliably through His commandments, which are aimed at bringing people to

  • perceive God
  • learn to love Him above everything else
  • grant their fellow human beings whatever they enjoy themselves
  • become a dwelling place for the Word of God by believing it, which then automatically becomes visible in their actions.

For a long time it was obvious that everything God says comes true and it was self-understood to believe Him without reservation. People have of course the freedom to also act in reliance on deviating sources. This is however quite useless, as can be expected. The world and life originally came from the Word of God and are only sustained by it:

… the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store …

2.Pet 3:7

In [the Word] was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Joh 1:4f

Why many People don’t Notice God?

The earth is and remains God’s property, but man has been authorized to decide what happens there – similar to a managing director who enjoys great autonomy, but has to always give account to the company owner. Therefore God usually never intervenes without being asked to!

Over time, people became careless and at some point no longer paid the appropriate attention to the Word of God. They had the freedom to do so because they were created in the image of God and God is free. At some point, however, they fell for fake news in which God was portrayed as a liar who was withholding something from them. They believed the lie so that they acted accordingly – and contrary to the Word of God!

From an objective point of wiev, this was the greatest possible nonsense! Firstly, people had regularly experienced the presence of God as the best thing that could happen to them. Then they had seen the perfection and beauty in creation that had sprung from the word of God. Furthermore, they had also repeatedly noticed how acting according to God’s words had always produced the best results and, finally, God had also warned them that they would have to die if they acted contrary to an essential instruction. But that is exactly what they had now done! Their consciousness changed and suddenly they could no longer cope with the life they were used to live.

God forgave them and took measures so that they did not die immediately. However, they became mortal. Following the rejective decision of the people, He Himself had to withdraw from their domain – the earth – to quite some extent and became invisible to them. This was also necessary because people in their altered state of mind could not stand the view of His radiant beauty and perfect purity anymore! Malicious powers that had spread the fake news about God gained influence because people had acted in faith in them. All living creatures became more dissatisfied and insecure, work became laborious and inefficient and increasing resource shortages led to violence, murders and wars. The world as we know it today is the result of this.

Man-made “solutions”

Of course, not everyone was and is doing badly – at least for a while and at least in certain areas, life could be made acceptable for quite some people. However, this usually either came at the expense of their own quality of life in other areas or phases of life, or it happened at the expense of others, who were worse off than necessary as a result.

Humanity has therefore lost a lot in the overall balance, but God could not be satisfied either – neither with the suffering that is constantly inflicted on His beloved creation, nor with being – to quite some extent – excluded from the earth He created, nor with the fact that people, who were made for His glory and as His representatives, lived so far away from their original purpose and simply did not manage to shape their spheres of influence for the good of everyone! All of them had good intentions somehow. But without the original connection to their creator they often lacked competence and endurance among other things.

People then developed their own moral, religious and ideological standards, independent of reality, in order to be able to endure and justify their conditions. But they are actually fooling themselves, because creation is suffering, God sees it, and He will soon return to call all people to account for what they have done or not done in His possession.

The Return of Justice

Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all …

Jud 14f

On the one hand, this will launch a phase of restoration in which all man-made damage will be repaired and stability, security, justice, peace and a now unknown quality of life will return to the earth.

However, everyone has already done things wrong and caused suffering in their own sphere of influence – some unconsciously, some consciously. This means that everyone is not only a victim but also a offender, not only suffering but also part of the problem!

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned

Rom 5:12

It doesn’t help to minimize one’s own mistakes and present oneself as a victim of others‘. God is holy, absolutely just, incorruptible and independent of all human standards of judgment, and He sees the whole picture. He cannot – when He comes – simply turn a blind eye… but He does something much better:

God’s solution!

He Himself pays fully for the failure and guilt of all those people who readily

  • come back to the rule of His Word,
  • admit their own guilt and
  • accept the grace of complete forgiveness as a gift!

The Word, through whom everything was created, came to earth as a human being, was the only one to live consistently in a way that pleased God, and yet ultimately allowed himself to be punished by God with death – completely innocently and on behalf of all people who were separated from God through their own sin – including you! This means that for everyone who accepts it in faith, every sin is forgiven, the debt is paid and the channel to God is free again! … for you as well, if you accept it!

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Joh 1:14

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Joh 1:29

[Jesus] said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Joh 19:30

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself

Kol 1:19f

… For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus …

Röm 3:23f

God loves you that much that He has given everything – even His Son – to have you on His side for eternity! You can immediately regain your original dignity – to be God’s representative, friend and confidant – if you honor His trustworthiness and believe in His Word, so that you align your life with Him from now on. You will also receive strength and success from Him, so that you are not dependent on your own efforts and abilities, but on His infinite riches!

If that’s what you want, then say out loud:

“Jesus, I believe that You are God’s Word that created everything, that You are the eternal King who will rule everything, and that You died on the cross for all my sins! I say “Yes!” to You in all points! Forgive me all my sins, renew my life and from now on shape and use it according to Your good pleasure – just as it was originally intended! Fill me with the Spirit of God, who renews and guides me inwardly in a way that is best for all for eternity. I want to trust You and stay with You – please take care of everything I can’t do! Thank you Jesus! Amen (so be it)!”

Saved!

If this is what you said and meant, you have done the very best for God, yourself and others that is possible! Heaven is celebrating you and you have been given a new life in which your original dignity and calling have been restored and in which gradual improvements are becoming visible that you would not have thought possible!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2.Cor 5:17

Take time to regularly thank God for everything and talk to Him about whatever moves you! You will also learn to hear from Him:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Joh 10:27

In this process, the Bible will help you, which has been uniquely inspired and compiled by the Spirit of God. It should be your primary reference to recognize God’s nature and will and to identify Him talking into your life. Ask Him to communicate to you as you read!

Start with

  • one of the accounts of Jesus‘ life, e.g. that of His best friend John. Alternatively, you could choose Mark (short), Matthew(focus on doctrine among others) and Luke (historically detailed).
  • and the books following

(On the website, a swipe to the left or a click on the arrow at the bottom right will take you to the next chapter or book.)

A summary of the Bible that contains a little more detail than the text above you can find in the detailed version of this article.

What’s up Now?

Many strive for your attention, but the one who did and does everything for you deserves it in the first place! Give it to Jesus on a regular basis! He tells you:

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered… If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Joh 15:4ff

It’s not meant to become burdensome:

… learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Mt 11:29f

It’s always most important to recognize and internalize His nature:

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Joh 17:3

It will result in a lasting transformation which can not be achieved any other way:

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2.Cor 3:18

Only in His presence you can optimally be prepared for His return and for eternity. God dwells in you and acts through you wherever you allow Him to.

… that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able … to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge …

Eph 3:17ff

Furthermore important

The more familiar you become with Him, the better protected you are from temptations. Some people or things just pretend to save or satisfy but they do the very opposite! So simply stay connected to Jesus Christ – the original – Himself – then you won’t fall for any fakes.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

He loves you more than anyone else and has made every provision for you to enjoy His favor and fellowship!

… Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Ps 37:4

He will help you in all everyday matters – at least once you ask Him. Especially in a world that is alienated from God, friction can arise, but He always has the perfect solution:

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Jer 33:3

Especially don’t be held back if you have done something wrong yourself! We all still make mistakes – sometimes gross ones! But if Jesus gave His life for you when you had nothing to do with Him, how much more will He bring you forward now in absolutely all (!) matters if you ask Him? Just always remain open, honest and transparent before Him. God sees you but for the sake of a good relationship you should address everything by yourself. He even made that completely easy for you:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1. Joh 1:9

Promised!!! For fairness‘ sake, also forgive others the same way.

And if you ever feel helpless, just call out “Jesus!” and trust Him, because

… And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered …

Joel 2:27

Further recommendations …

… you can fnd in the long version of this article.

Many people benefit from sharing with like-minded people and experience God’s presence and intervention more strongly when they have prayed together. However, since such groups have very different focuses, I cannot give a general recommendation. However, God can bring you together with the right fellowship for you if you ask Him. You will recognize it be much Love among each other, genuine passion for Jesus and that it helps you to perceive and love Him deeper!

A good approach could also be the interdenominational basic faith course Alpha. You can get further answers in a relaxed atmosphere without obligation and get to know other interested people.

The important thing however is that you always remain in conversation with God Himself and ask Him to guide you rightly. He has and keeps the big picture and has the best in store for you like nobody else!

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Röm 8:38f
